First of all, an HIV infection can be passed from one person to another no matter what their age, occupation, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. It is the activity, not the person, that poses the risk. You are to be congratulated for using a condom as it is the safest way to protect yourself from Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's), including HIV. The ELISA Test has a window period of 4 weeks to 3 months (84 days), and is conclusive at 3 months. The Western Blot Test is most commonly as a "confirmatory" test and is considered to be the gold standard for confirmation of an HIV infection. I can assure you that, if there has been no further risky activity on your part, these tests you had at 100 days post-exposure are conclusive and that you do not have HIV. I would suggest that you not focus on the symptoms you are experiencing because HIV symptoms tend to "mirror" other bacterial/viral infections. Additionally, HIV symptoms are strong flu-like symptoms that would most likely be present 2-6 weeks post exposure and usually go away within a few days. Many persons experience no symptoms whatsoever. However, if these symptoms do persist, I recommend that you work with your Health Care Professional so that they may be addressed.
