Generally testing for HIV antibodies is recommended six weeks after exposure than at 13 weeks past exposure for confirmation. Simply test at 6 and 13 weeks with the antibody test and than move on with your life. Any approved antibody test will do, this guideline of 13 weeks accommodates for outliers and includes older gen tests. No need for RNA testing, RNA testing is not recommended.
